Statues hide discretely at the rear of the building

Affects Me

Civic Pride

Magistrates Court

The sides of the four big pillars at the front sport a set of amazing sculpture panels showing stylised workers.

There used to be an article at www.art-in-public.net with the history and a much better set of photos than I can do (hint you need either a special camera, or scaffolding).

Town hall Walthamstow

Opposite the Town Hall, normal life resumes with the disused petrol station

Assembly Halls

Waltham Forest College

Waltham Forest College, detail

The entire civic complex. The bunker to the left is the Magistrates' Court, the green clock tower and columns mark the Town Hall, the green and brick 'school' buildings are the functional part of the College, while the columns to the right belong to the Assembly Rooms.
